Rensselaer Plateau and DEC-managed lands (Berlin State Forest, Pittstown State Forest) follow NYCRR Title 6 rules — open for day use unless posted. Violations are treated as trespass under NY Penal Law §140.05 or park regulations. Overnight camping at state parks requires a reservation through ReserveAmerica.
