Napa County, CA Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Napa County does not operate a large general-purpose municipal park system; outdoor recreation in unincorporated Napa County is managed by the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District and by the California State Parks system. The Regional Park and Open Space District posts hours individually at each preserve, with most lands open dawn to dusk; for example, Bothe-Napa Valley State Park is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to sunset. After-hours presence in posted-closed parks may be cited as trespass under California Penal Code Section 602 or under the agency's posted regulations. Inside the cities (Napa operates its own park system, with rules in City of Napa Municipal Code), separate hours and rules apply. The County's juvenile curfew in Chapter 9.08 of the County Code separately reaches parks - public places under §9.08.010 expressly include parks and playgrounds, so minors in unincorporated-area parks during curfew hours can be cited under §9.08.010 in addition to any after-hours park violation. Enforcement in unincorporated parks is by State Park Rangers (for state parks), District Rangers (for Open Space District lands), and the Napa County Sheriff.
