Under LDC Section 210's general regulations, fences and walls cannot be placed in the right-of-way, cannot impede drainage on or adjacent to the site, and cannot obstruct public-safety apparatus or personnel from accessing property. On corner and double-frontage lots, fences must stay clear of the Section 711 visibility triangle. Opaque fences are limited to eight feet unless permitted through a Level 1 Review. Fence design should be in keeping with neighborhood appearance, and Section 210.C requires that fences, walls, and gates be privately maintained by the owner.
