Since December 8, 2025, all permit applications must be submitted through the OpenGov online portal at conroetx.portal.opengov.com. The permit application requires site plans showing fence location, materials, and height. The 2009 International Codes with local amendments govern construction standards. Permit fees are set in Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances and generate automatically in the OpenGov system. Payment is accepted online via Stripe or in-office with cash or check.
