Conroe Chapter 66 regulates street parking. Oversized vehicles (6+ wheels, RVs, trailers) require a police department permit on residential streets. Junked vehicles on public property must be removed within 72 hours.
Under Conroe Code Chapter 66, Sec. 66-62, no person may park or store on any residential street without a police department permit: trucks, truck trailers, vans exceeding one-ton capacity, RVs, or similar oversized vehicles. Junked or inoperable vehicles left on public property for more than 72 consecutive hours are subject to towing under Sec. 26-81. The Conroe Police Department enforces street parking throughout the city. Downtown Conroe has timed parking zones. Blocking sidewalks, fire hydrants, or driveways is prohibited under state traffic law.
Parking violations carry fines up to $2,000. Vehicles may be towed at owner's expense. 72-hour limit on public property for inoperable vehicles.
