RVs, trailers, and boats on residential streets in Conroe require a police department permit under Sec. 66-62. Inoperable vehicles visible from public streets for 30+ days violate Sec. 26-81.
Conroe Code Sec. 66-62 prohibits parking RVs, boats on trailers, and similar oversized vehicles on residential streets without a police department permit. Storage of inoperable vehicles, including RVs and boats, on private property that are visible from public streets and have been inoperable for more than 30 consecutive days may be cited under Sec. 26-81 (junked vehicles). Vehicles completely enclosed in a garage or screened by a privacy fence are exempt from the junk vehicle provision. Many Conroe neighborhoods also have deed restrictions or HOA rules that further restrict RV and boat parking.
