FL §515 sets the strictest pool safety law in the US. The 4-foot barrier may not have openings larger than 4 inches and must have self-closing, self-latching gates with the latch 54 inches above the ground. Above-ground pools with 4-foot walls and removable ladders may qualify as their own barrier. PBC Building Division requires a final safety inspection before pool fill.
