Frisco Fire Prevention allows recreational backyard fires under IFC 307.4. Fire must be in a non-combustible container, maximum 3 feet diameter and 2 feet tall, minimum 25 feet from any structure, fence, or overhanging vegetation. An adult must attend with water or extinguisher ready. Only clean dry wood or charcoal may be burned; trash, leaves, and treated wood are banned. Neighbor complaints of smoke nuisance can force extinguishment.
Unattended or non-compliant fire: citation up to 500 dollars. Fire Marshal can order immediate extinguishment.
