For improved and developed properties, vegetation management and weed abatement enforcement is handled by the City of Pleasanton Code Enforcement Unit rather than directly by LPFD.
If an owner does not abate, the city abates the property in July and invoices the owner for the cost of abatement plus administrative fees. Public hearings are held for unpaid invoices, and liens are filed against the property for outstanding balances. Developed-property weed violations are pursued through city Code Enforcement.
