RSMo Chapter 323 creates the Missouri Propane Education and Safety Commission and authorizes the Department of Agriculture to license LP-gas dealers and adopt safety rules. Regulations at 2 CSR 90-30 incorporate NFPA 58 (Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code) for container construction, separation distances, valves, and operator qualifications. Container installations must follow tank-to-building setbacks based on capacity, with 10-foot minimums for residential ASME tanks. Dealers must hold a state license and employ certified service technicians. Transportation follows DOT and state cargo tank rules.
