Locations such as schools, courthouses, and certain government buildings remain off-limits. Reciprocity exists with many other states. Violations of carry restrictions can result in misdemeanor or felony charges depending on location and conduct.
Carrying a handgun in a prohibited location is generally a Class D felony; license violations may bring license revocation, fines, and criminal penalties.
