New Castle County restricts food truck vending locations primarily through UDC zoning, which treats mobile food sales as a use subject to the underlying zoning of the host property. Trucks operating on private property (such as brewery parking lots, church events, office park lunches in the I-95 corridor, and construction sites) typically need only the private owner's permission if the operation is short-duration and accessory to another permitted use.
