Anne Arundel County does not require residents to obtain a permit for occasional garage, yard, or estate sales at their own residence. Operations must comply with County Code Article 17 sign regulations (no signs in public rights-of-way, removed within 48 hours of sale end). City of Annapolis similarly does not require a permit for residential sales in non-historic areas. Sales in the Annapolis Historic District face additional signage review from HDC. Neighborhood or community-wide sales (Hunt Club, Bay Ridge) organized through HOA do not require county permit but HOA may coordinate.
