Applicants must hold a food-protection-manager certification, and every product must carry the state 'not inspected' disclosure label. Camden County does not license cottage food, though your municipality's zoning still governs the home-occupation aspect. Apply at nj.gov/health/cottagefood.
Selling cottage foods without the state permit, above the $50,000 cap, or in prohibited categories is enforced by the NJ Department of Health and can void the permit. Local zoning issues are handled by your municipality.
