The Lee County Lot Mowing Ordinance (No. 14-08, codified in the County Code) applies in all unincorporated Lee County. It defines Nuisance Vegetation as grasses and weeds not regularly cared for that exceed 12 inches in height. Grasses and weeds over 12 inches covering more than half of an unimproved lot are a nuisance where any part is within 150 feet of a developed adjacent property in a Future Urban Area or platted subdivision. All owners must cut and keep cut, to a height not exceeding 12 inches, all grasses and weeds on property they own, control, or occupy. Property with an agricultural classification under FS Ch. 193 is exempt.
