Baltimore County's adopted fire code, enforced by the Office of the Fire Marshal, restricts open-flame cooking at multifamily properties. Grilling on a multifamily balcony or within 15 feet of the building violates the county fire code; the Fire Marshal can order the grill removed and cite the resident or property owner.
