New Jersey adopted statewide electric-vehicle infrastructure rules under P.L. 2021, c.171, which requires municipalities to treat EV charging stations as a permitted accessory use and sets model parking and installation standards. Installing a home charger or reserving an EV parking space is handled through your municipality's construction and zoning offices, following the state model ordinance. County parks may designate EV or restricted spaces under the Parks Director's posted-parking authority.
