Harrison County and its cities generally allow overnight street parking in residential areas but restrict parking on certain commercial streets and during special events. Beach and downtown areas have enforced restrictions.
Harrison County does not impose a countywide overnight street parking ban. In Biloxi and Gulfport, most residential streets permit overnight parking, though vehicles must be currently registered, operable, and not blocking driveways, fire hydrants, or crosswalks. Downtown Biloxi and Gulfport commercial districts have time-limited parking (2-hour zones) enforced during business hours with overnight rules varying by block. Beach boulevard (US 90) parking is restricted during declared events including Cruisin' The Coast, Black Spring Break, and hurricane evacuations. Parking is prohibited on public beach sand and state-owned right-of-way along the Gulf. Harrison County unincorporated areas permit street parking on county roads except during declared emergencies. Vehicles left on public streets more than 72 hours may be tagged as abandoned per the abandoned-vehicles ordinance. Snow is not a factor, but tropical storm preparation may trigger mandatory removal.
Blocking driveway or fire hydrant: $25 to $100 ticket. Parking during declared event restrictions: $50 ticket plus towing. Expired registration on street: abandoned vehicle notice. Towing and storage: $150 to $300+ plus daily fees.
