Anne Arundel County does not have a countywide overnight parking ban. Annapolis restricts overnight parking in residential permit zones and prohibits on-street commercial vehicle parking from 7 PM to 7 AM (Annapolis Β§12.16).
In unincorporated Anne Arundel County there is no blanket overnight street-parking ban. Parking restrictions are signed on a block-by-block basis and are enforced by the AA County Police Department under Article 12 of the County Code. Snow-emergency routes (designated during declared snow emergencies per Article 13) are cleared of parked vehicles on penalty of towing. In Annapolis, residential permit parking zones (RPP) restrict overnight parking without a decal in Eastport, West Annapolis, Murray Hill, and the Historic District; commercial vehicles and vehicles with commercial plates are prohibited from on-street overnight parking from 7 PM to 7 AM under Annapolis City Code Β§12.16. State highways managed by SHA (MD-2 Ritchie Highway, MD-100, US-50/301, MD-175) prohibit overnight parking on shoulders. Fort Meade, NSA Fort Meade housing, and the U.S. Naval Academy have their own federal parking rules. Trailers, boats on trailers, and RVs parked overnight on residential streets are subject to the county RV/boat parking restrictions under Article 18 Β§18-6-102.
