Garage sales are a permitted accessory use in all residential zoning districts. No permit or fee is required, but sales must occur on the residents own property and may not be conducted in a manner that constitutes a commercial retail operation. Merchandise must be household goods owned by the resident, not purchased wholesale for resale. Sales generally limited to daylight hours (7 AM-7 PM or dusk). The city participates in community-wide sale weekends promoted by the Recreation Department. Sale items must not block sidewalks or the right-of-way, and parking from sale attendees must not obstruct traffic.
