Osceola County curbside customers must use county-issued waste and recycling carts. Carts may go out no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before pickup, must be out by 6:00 a.m. on collection day, and must be pulled back within 12 hours of collection.
Under Chapter 19 (Solid Waste, amended 2021), household waste goes only in the county waste cart and recyclables only in the recycling cart—the roughly 96-, 65-, or 35-gallon two-wheeled carts stamped with the county logo. Section 19-4(g) sets set-out and removal timing. Carts left at the roadside beyond 12 hours after collection violate the chapter. Curbside customers may not let solid waste accumulate on their property or the adjacent right-of-way. Containers that fail chapter requirements get tagged; a container tagged twice may be removed from service. These rules govern the curbside collection area of the unincorporated county.
Failure to meet curbside customer requirements carries a $25 administrative fine per occurrence under Section 19-9(f). Paying within 10 days earns a 10% reduction.
