Anne Arundel County Waste Management requires 65- or 95-gallon county-issued carts stored on the property (not in the right-of-way) and set out no earlier than 5 PM the day before collection, retrieved by 10 PM collection day.
Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works Bureau of Waste Management collects trash, recycling, and yard waste at the curb for single-family homes in the sanitary district. Carts (one 65- or 95-gallon trash cart and one recycling cart per home) are county-issued and must be used; extra bags next to the cart are accepted only during approved special collections. Carts must be stored on the property — not in the street, on the sidewalk, or on the adjacent public right-of-way — between pickup days. Carts may be set out no earlier than 5 PM the day before collection and must be retrieved by 10 PM on collection day (Article 12 / Bureau regulations). Lids must be closed and bags must be tied. In Annapolis (separate city service), placement rules are similar with §12.20 city code governing. HOAs in Crofton, Piney Orchard, and Two Rivers often impose stricter screening requirements. Yard waste is collected weekly March–December; Christmas trees are collected on designated January weeks.
