Section 14-117 governs how private refuse receptacles are stored on occupied property. Each single-family household is provided a 96-gallon automated cart. Carts must be screened from street view except on the day of City collection, with an exception for a cart placed behind the home that is only visible to a street to the rear. Section 14-118 additionally makes it unlawful to leave appliances, furniture, or other listed rubbish outside or beside garbage containers. Building and Codes enforces these rules.
