Arlington prohibits skateboarding, rollerblading, and scooters on sidewalks within designated downtown and Entertainment District zones, on parking-garage ramps, and on private property posted against use.
Arlington Code Chapter 19 (Streets and Sidewalks) authorizes the city manager to designate no-skateboard zones around downtown, the UTA campus edge, and the Entertainment District (AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, Texas Live!, Esports Stadium). Skateboarders, in-line skaters, and standup scooter riders cannot use sidewalks, plazas, planters, or stair handrails in those zones. Riders must yield to pedestrians elsewhere. Vandal Park (Randol Mill Park skate plaza) and the Veterans Park skate park provide legal facilities. Stadium parking garages are private property; trespass charges add to skateboard violations.
Class C misdemeanor with fines up to $200 first offense and $500 repeat. Equipment may be confiscated as evidence. Trespass on stadium garages adds Penal Code 30.05 charges with up to 180 days jail.
