Two types: (1) Homeshare — owner-occupied, owner present during rental; (2) Vacation Rental — non-owner-occupied. Permit fee: $1,595 new, $1,214.25 renewal (not including Business License fee). Application requires mailing to all property owners within 300 ft. Vacation rental permits capped at 5% of total dwelling units per neighborhood (10% in R-BF zone). No vacation rental permit within 200 ft of another existing vacation rental permit. $1M liability insurance required.
Failure to register: $250 fine plus back taxes owed. Failure to remit TOT: 10–25% penalty on unpaid amounts plus interest. Persistent non-compliance can result in business license revocation.
