Englewood requires a permit for garage sales and limits advertising signs to 18 by 24 inches, with mandatory removal by 6:00 p.m. on the last day of the sale.
Englewood regulates garage sale signs through its special sales provisions. Each garage sale requires a permit, and the permit fee is set under Chapter 191. Signs advertising the sale must not exceed 18 inches by 24 inches and must display the sale location, permit number, and the name of the person conducting the sale (the name may be omitted if the seller is a private Englewood resident). All signs must be removed by 6:00 p.m. on the final sale day. Sales may not exceed two consecutive days, and the City limits permits to one per property per calendar month.
Removal of unpermitted signs; civil fines for non-permitted sales; permit revocation for repeat noncompliance.
