Arapahoe County, CO Soliciting & Door-to-Door: No-Knock Registry (2026)

Several Arapahoe County cities maintain no-solicitation registries or enforce posted signs. Aurora City Code §98-45 requires solicitors to respect both a posted No Soliciting sign at the residence and a city-maintained no-solicitation list (operated through Aurora Police Department). Residents can register online or by phone. Centennial Municipal Code §9-16 similarly recognizes posted signs as legal prohibition of commercial solicitation. Littleton and Englewood follow comparable frameworks. Colorado state law C.R.S. §6-1-304 (door-to-door sales) allows a 3-day cooling-off period for any sale over $25. The no-knock protections do NOT apply to political canvassers, religious missionaries (per Watchtower v. Village of Stratton, 536 U.S. 150 (2002)), government census workers, or nonprofit charitable canvassers registered with the Colorado Secretary of State. Permit revocation is the most serious consequence for solicitors who repeatedly ignore registry listings or posted signs.
