Joliet, Plainfield, and Bolingbrook generally prohibit THOW as residences in residential zones. Frankfort and New Lenox are similarly restrictive. Tiny home-friendly zoning does not yet exist in Will County; monitor Park Forest and other progressive Chicago-area municipalities for models.
