Section 50-42 sets out a village-wide list of no-parking locations that applies regardless of signage, unless a police officer or traffic control device directs otherwise. Beyond blocking a sidewalk or a public or private driveway, the list bars parking within an intersection, on a crosswalk, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 30 feet of the approach to a flashing beacon, stop sign, or traffic signal, within 50 feet of a railroad grade crossing, within 20 feet of a fire station driveway (and within 75 feet on the opposite side when posted), alongside a street excavation that would obstruct traffic, on the roadway side of an already-parked vehicle (double parking), on a bridge or in a highway tunnel, in a posted fire lane or a section of curb painted yellow, or in a spot reserved for disabled parking without the required plate or decal.

It also independently bars parking in a way that traps a legally parked vehicle in its space.
