Section 50-44(c) sets three independent size thresholds, any one of which triggers the ban: a truck, bus, trailer, or other motor vehicle exceeding nine feet in height, 20 feet in length, or 8,000 pounds in gross weight cannot be parked or stored anywhere within a residential district, not just in a yard. This is a flat district-wide exclusion, distinct from the yard-storage limits on ordinary vehicles in section 50-44(a). Section 50-44(e) separately regulates commercial zoning districts: a privately owned commercial vehicle, including a truck cab, trailer, or contractor's equipment, cannot be stored or parked in a parking lot, loading area, or behind a commercial center or building unless it is actively making a delivery or rendering a service to a business on that property, or unless the village has approved the storage under the zoning ordinance (chapter 54).

Both provisions trace to Code 1973 § 17-1514 and were most recently amended by Ordinance No. 22-051 on August 23, 2022, alongside the fee-schedule update in section 50-46. The rule reflects the same residential-character concern as the recreational-vehicle storage limits in section 50-44(a)-(b): the village keeps oversized commercial equipment out of neighborhoods entirely rather than setting a shorter time limit for it.
