Hotel high-rises along Detroit River and DTW area airport hotels require full sprinkler systems plus annual NFPA 25 inspections.
Building permits cannot finalize without compliant sprinkler installation. Operating without required sprinklers triggers stop-use orders, occupancy revocation, and civil fines up to $10,000 per day from local building officials.
