Jurupa Valley FAQ
Is there an owner registry for STRs?
No. Section 9.35.070 prohibits STRs in every zone and bars the issuance of any permit. The City does not maintain an owner registry, application portal, or annual renewal.
Do hosting platforms have to report Jurupa Valley listings?
Yes. Section 4.15.025(A) requires platforms to disclose each residential property listing located in the City, the responsible person, the address, the length of stay, and the price. Section 4.15.030(E) authorizes administrative subpoenas to obtain the same information.
Does a 30-day-or-longer rental require any registration?
Chapter 4.15 does not apply to rentals of 30 or more consecutive days. Long-term landlords must follow state law (AB 1482, Civ. Code §§1946.2 and 1947.12) and obtain any City business license required under Title 5.
