Collin County has no countywide juvenile curfew ordinance. Cities such as Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Allen enforce local curfews, typically 11 PM to 6 AM for minors under 17, with parental, work, and emergency exceptions.
Texas Local Government Code Section 370.002 lets counties enact juvenile curfews, but Collin County has not done so. City curfews apply only within corporate limits. In Plano, Code Section 13-51 sets an 11 PM weeknight and midnight weekend curfew for under-17 minors. The Texas Legislature in 2023 prohibited new juvenile curfews (HB 1819) but grandfathered existing ordinances.
Class C misdemeanor in enforcing cities, fines up to 500 dollars per Penal Code Section 12.23.
