Huntsville Code Chapter 15 (Juvenile Curfew) prohibits minors under 18 from being in public places or establishments during curfew hours. Sunday through Thursday curfew runs 11 PM to 6 AM. Friday and Saturday curfew runs 12 AM (midnight) to 6 AM. Exceptions include: accompanied by parent or guardian, traveling to or from work with employer documentation, responding to emergency, attending sanctioned school or religious event, or on a sidewalk of the minors own home. Parents who knowingly permit violations may also be cited. Enforcement is by Huntsville Police Department with minors typically released to parents. Downtown Entertainment District has separate enforcement focus due to nightlife.
