Corpus Christi city parks are generally open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Since 2023, Texas law (HB 1819) bars any city or county from enforcing a juvenile curfew; the county's juvenile-curfew statute (Local Gov't Code Sec. 351.903) was repealed.
Park hours are set by whoever owns the park. City of Corpus Christi parks are open to the public 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily (with a few exceptions such as the Cole Park Pier, open 24 hours), and being in a park after hours can draw a trespass or park-rules citation regardless of age. Youth curfews are different: House Bill 1819 (88th Legislature, 2023) prohibits any political subdivision from adopting or enforcing a curfew based on age, and repealed the county juvenile-curfew authority in Local Government Code Section 351.903, effective September 1, 2023. So Nueces County cannot enforce a nighttime curfew on minors, though age-neutral park closing hours remain valid.
Being in a closed city park is a park-rules/trespass violation for anyone. Age-based juvenile curfews are unenforceable statewide; pending curfew cases were dismissed on Sept. 1, 2023.
