Exemptions cover engine warmup below 32 degrees, traffic congestion, and required power-takeoff operations. Construction equipment at Inspirada, Cadence, and other master-planned community build-outs must post idling-policy signage. Passenger vehicles are not directly regulated but are encouraged to limit idling.
Heavy-duty diesel idling violations are enforced by Clark County DES with citations starting around $100 for first offense and increasing for repeat commercial fleet operators.
