During elevated wildfire-risk periods these maintenance rules work alongside county burn bans to reduce available fuel near homes.
Grass or weeds exceeding 6 inches on a developed lot or 12 inches on an undeveloped lot violate Sec. 8.20.0100, as does failing to clear the property line-to-curb strip. Dumping brush or refuse outside the approved disposal system violates Sec. 8.20.080. Code Compliance handles enforcement.
