Saratoga County has opted out of New York's sparkling device law; all consumer fireworks including sparklers are prohibited.
Per New York Penal Law 270.00 and Saratoga County Local Law, the sale and use of sparkling devices is prohibited countywide. Only licensed professional pyrotechnic displays with permits from the fire marshal are legal. Possession or use of consumer fireworks can result in fines and confiscation. Surrounding counties may permit sparklers, but transport into Saratoga County remains illegal.
