Installation and permitting of stationary propane systems should be confirmed with the Ventura County Fire Department, which is the fire code official for unincorporated areas.
Improperly sited, unpermitted, or hazardous LP-gas installations are citable under the adopted California Fire Code and may be ordered corrected or removed by the fire code official. Large installations lacking required construction documents (single container over 2,000 gal or aggregate over 4,000 gal water capacity) are non-compliant.
