Vending zone rules are set by each Lake County municipality. Common restrictions: minimum distance from restaurants (100 to 200 feet typical; Lake Forest 300 feet), schools (200 to 500 feet during school hours), intersections and fire hydrants (15 to 25 feet), and residential zones. Time limits at single location commonly 2 to 4 hours before required relocation. No blocking of sidewalks, ADA accessibility paths, bus stops, loading zones or fire lanes.
