Rules that apply: sign ordinance (Zoning §5-1200), property maintenance (Ord. Ch. 1040), and general nuisance provisions. Incorporated towns: Leesburg Town Code §26-116 does not require a specific garage sale permit but regulates signs and duration; Purcellville, Middleburg, Hamilton, and Round Hill similarly rely on general ordinances rather than dedicated permits. HOAs are often stricter — Brambleton, Broadlands, Ashburn Village, Lansdowne, One Loudoun, and Belmont Country Club commonly require approval for individual sales or restrict them to 1-2 designated community-wide weekend sale days per year. Community-wide yard sales (common in spring and fall across Loudoun subdivisions) are coordinated through HOAs and often allow broader signage.
