Conroe garage sales may not exceed 72 consecutive hours (3 days). Sales must operate during reasonable daytime hours. Signs in the public right-of-way are prohibited. A permit is required from the Permits Division before the sale.
Under Conroe's garage sale ordinance, each sale event is limited to a maximum of 72 consecutive hours (3 days). The sale must be conducted on the permit holder's residential property. Signs advertising the sale may only be placed on private property, not in the public right-of-way (Chapter 90 and TX Transportation Code Chapter 393). Merchandise and sale items must be removed and the property returned to its normal condition after the sale concludes. Code Enforcement at (936) 522-3613 enforces garage sale regulations.
Exceeding the 72-hour limit or placing signs in right-of-way may result in fines.
