Under NCGS 47F-3-102(11), associations may impose reasonable fines for violations. NCGS 47F-3-107.1 requires: written notice of alleged violation, opportunity for hearing before an adjudicatory panel appointed by the board, and written decision. Fines may not exceed 100 dollars per violation and accrue up to 1,000 dollars total per continuing violation unless the declaration authorizes more. Injunctive relief available in court. Attorney fees recoverable by prevailing party under NCGS 47F-3-120.
