Utah County enforces noxious weed control under Utah Code Β§17-22-4 through the County Weed Supervisor. Property owners must control designated noxious weeds on their property.
Utah County's Weed Supervisor enforces noxious weed control under Utah Code Β§17-22-4 throughout unincorporated areas. Property owners are required to control designated noxious weeds (as listed by the Utah Department of Agriculture) on their land. Failure to control noxious weeds may result in the county treating the property at the owner's expense. In residential subdivision zones, overgrown grass and weeds may also be subject to nuisance ordinances. Agricultural areas have more latitude, but invasive species that spread to neighboring properties remain a concern.
Notice to abate. City mowing at ownerβs expense ($200 to $500+). Administrative fees. Property lien.
