Cobb County nuisance code β weeds and grass exceeding 12 inches in height are unlawful on all properties including utility easements and water impoundments. Code Enforcement issues compliance notice before citation.
Cobb County's nuisance provisions make it unlawful for property owners to permit weeds to reach or exceed 12 inches in height on any portion of their property, including easements for utility rights-of-way, lakes, ponds, or water impoundments. Unincorporated Cobb County Code Enforcement issues a compliance notice giving the owner an opportunity to correct the violation before a citation is issued. Repeat or uncorrected violations result in formal citations and Magistrate Court proceedings. Code Enforcement can also arrange for abatement (mowing) with the cost billed to the property owner.
Compliance notice then citation; Magistrate Court; abatement costs billed to owner.
