Euless, TX Landscaping Rules: Water Restrictions (2026)

The City of Euless buys treated water wholesale through the Trinity River Authority and follows the year-round water-conservation schedule coordinated with the Tarrant Regional Water District. Automatic irrigation systems using sprinkler or soaker hose may operate no more than twice per week on designated days tied to the last digit of the street address or customer account, a structure widely adopted across DFW. During the April-to-October peak season, watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to reduce evaporation losses. Hand-watering with a hose and shut-off nozzle, drip irrigation, and hand-watering of trees and new plantings are generally exempt from the day-of-week restriction but still subject to the midday prohibition. When the Water District triggers Stage 1, Stage 2, or higher drought response — typically based on reservoir levels at Cedar Creek, Richland-Chambers, and Eagle Mountain Lake — additional limits cut watering to once per week, ban new landscape installation without a variance, and prohibit ornamental fountains. Violations start with a written warning and escalate to 50 to 500 dollar citations per offense in Euless Municipal Court. Repeat offenders can have irrigation-meter service limited.
