Industrial and commercial noise sources in Englewood must comply with the maximum continuous sound levels in Tables I and II of Chapter 286, measured at the real property line of the receiving property. Impulsive sound occurring fewer than four times in any hour must not equal or exceed 80 decibels. Impulsive sound that repeats four or more times in an hour is measured as continuous sound and must meet the table limits. Measurements follow N.J.A.C. 7:29 procedures, and the Noise Control Officer issues notices of violation.
