Town of Niskayuna and Town of Rotterdam zoning codes set dBA limits at the property line where industrial or commercial uses abut residential districts. City of Schenectady's zoning ordinance imposes performance standards for industrial districts. New York State DEC Program Policy DEP-00-1 provides non-binding noise guidance used by zoning boards during site-plan review. State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) may require a noise study for large projects.
