Tuolumne County's parking code (Chapter 10.24) regulates commercial vehicles mainly through the obstruction rule and yellow loading-zone limits, not a dedicated weight ban. On county roads, parked trucks must not obstruct traffic (Section 10.24.010), and California Vehicle Code 22507.5 lets the county restrict commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs in residential districts by posted ordinance.
Unincorporated Tuolumne County does not publish a standalone heavy-truck residential parking ordinance in Chapter 10.24. The chapter's commercial-vehicle controls are the general ones: Section 10.24.010 prohibits parking any vehicle - including trucks and trailers - on the county road system or rights-of-way 'in a manner which will obstruct vehicular traffic,' and Section 10.24.050(B) limits yellow-curb loading zones to no more than 20 minutes for loading or unloading freight 'unless otherwise allowed by the Board of Supervisors.' Buses engaged as common carriers, school buses, and taxicabs may stop to load or unload passengers in front of driveways (Section 10.24.040). For weight-based residential restrictions, the controlling authority is the state: California Vehicle Code Section 22507.5 lets local authorities, by ordinance adopted after a public hearing, prohibit or restrict parking of commercial vehicles with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more on residential streets, but only where signs are posted. Where the county has adopted no such resolution for a given road, a commercial vehicle may park subject to the 72-hour limit (Section 10.24.030) and the obstruction rule. General Chapter 10.24 violations carry a $35 penalty under Section 10.24.080.
A commercial truck or trailer that obstructs a county road or right-of-way violates Section 10.24.010. Exceeding the 20-minute yellow loading-zone limit violates Section 10.24.050(B). Leaving a commercial vehicle more than 72 hours after notice violates Section 10.24.030. Any weight-based residential ban requires a posted Board resolution under California Vehicle Code 22507.5. General violations carry a $35 penalty (Section 10.24.080).
