Deputies or code officers tag suspected abandoned vehicles, and if the vehicle has not moved after 72 hours from tagging it may be towed at owner expense. Vehicles blocking driveways, mailboxes, fire hydrants (within 15 feet), or crosswalks (within 20 feet) are immediately ticketable. Snow emergencies declared by the Sheriff may impose temporary no-parking on designated routes. Private subdivisions (Heritage Hills, The Trails at Crowfoot Valley) may impose stricter overnight rules enforced by HOAs. Incorporated cities (Aurora, Centennial) maintain separate, stricter overnight rules.
